Why one position is not enough

Google Maps weighs distance. Someone searching nearby sees different businesses than someone two kilometres away.

  • See where your client wins and where it slips.
  • See how far its reach goes.

How to read the map

Every point shows the number itself. Colour is never the only signal.

  • Green: position 1 to 3. This is where the calls come from.
  • Yellow: 4 to 10. Visible after scrolling.
  • Orange: 11 to 20. Almost invisible.
  • Red ring: not in the top 20.

You set the grid

  • Grid size from 3x3 to 15x15.
  • Distance between points, in metres.
  • Switch off points over water or empty land to save credits.
  • A fixed schedule: weekly or monthly.

Three numbers your client understands

  • Top-3 coverage: on what share of the points your client makes the top 3.
  • Average position: where it gets found.
  • Grid share: its slice compared with everyone else.
